This atlas is unique among all atlases of dermatology by virtue of the extraordinary quality of its more than 2,500 color photographs, the universality of the patients depicted (every color skin is represented), and the method by which the subject is taught. How singular this work is was captured poignantly by the reviewer in the Canadian Journal of Plastic Surgery (Vol. 9, No. 6; 2001: 248), who said this about it: 'A Clinical Atlas of 101 Common Skin Diseases with Histopathologic Correlation is the best atlas of common skin diseases I have ever come across. It is a must-read for students, interns, residents, dermatologists, general physicians, internists and plastic surgeons.' Although the emphasis of the atlas is on morphologic diagnosis, importance also is given to unifying concepts, adjunctive diagnostic tests, and therapeutic considerations.
